Council Member

Council Member Mark Lockmiller was first elected to a four-year term on the Athens City Council in November 2018. Mark has lived in Athens all but five years of his life. He raised both his children in Athens, Grace & Roman Lockmiller. He has one grandchild, Titus Kimpson. Mark is in his 26th year of teaching & has his Ed.S degree in Education Administration. Mark is a member of the 2017 McMinn County High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Mark played football for the University of Tennessee & Carson-Newman University.
